So, um, I started making videos because I thought, like, I had something to say. ···0.6s It took me years to learn that the story is, you know, whatever survives the cut.
Cut the part where I said basically.
That's how everyone edits, in their head, before any app opens. Cuts makes that first cut real, on the Mac and on the iPhone, and nothing leaves the device.

Silences, fillers and retakes are found on the page before you read it. Flip a toggle: every one of them is struck at once, and every one can come back with a tap. This one is real.
In the beginning, it's so easy to compare yourself to everyone else. ···0.9s Um, to look at what they're doing and, like, feel that you're behind. ···0.5s I think— let me start over. ···0.4s I think the only thing that helped was, you know, making the next one.
Every removed word stays on the page, struck through, one tap from coming back.

Everyone thinks editing is cutting time. We think editing is choosing what matters. The timeline measures the clock. The sentence keeps the intent. You already edit in words. Now your video does too.
I'm a film director. I got tired of the timeline and went back to the sentence, and Cuts is that sentence, made executable.
